skerik is a saxophonist from Seattle. Often performing with electronics and loops, he is a founding member of Critters Buggin and Garage a Trois.
skerik has been a member of, performed frequently, or toured with the following: Les Claypool's, The Meters, The Headhunters, Tuatara (with Peter Buck), Mad Season, Roger Waters and many others. he leads Seattle-based "punk-jazz" ensemble Skerik's Syncopated Taint Septet.

liars liars liars We told you that we were working on an album... we lied!!!! Actually Hifiklub gonna gives you even more music... Here is the news: we're not working on a full length album but on a serie of 3 EPs, produced by 3 different producers.
We're doing that project with Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth...), Jesse Sykes, Alain Johannes (Eleven, Queens of the stone age...), Steven Bernstein (Lounge lizzards, Sex mob... ), Skerik (Critters buggin, Mad season, Tuatara... ), Robert Aaron, Dead Combo, Lio, Jean-Marc Montera, Sean Riley & Zakarya.
The first EP has just been produced/ mixed by Lee Ranaldo (sound engineer: Aaron Mulan).

new sessions: charles schillings and dylan cover Hifiklub is working on Charles Schillings new album. After more than 15 years playing in the most prestigious clubs worldwide, Charles Schillings is one of the most wanted French Djs. The first song called "How" has been recorded with Robert Aaron on horns and keys. Charles is singing. The tune has been remixed by Mc Gregor and is featured on MIDEM (international music market in Cannes) last compilation.
Very recently, we have recorded a Bob Dylan cover for a compilation. We worked on Dylan classic "Tombstone Blues". Get Back Guinozzi co-founders Eglantine Gouzy (vocals) and Landini (guitars) are playing with us on this track.

Catfish is featured on Lio best of album How did that happen ??? A year ago, french singer and 80's pop icon Lio was invited by Hifiklub to sing on 3 songs. One of them was called Catfish and was supposed to be released on the band next album... Finally, the song is featured on Lio's best of album "Je garde quelques images pour mes vies posterieures".

Recording session with Jean-Marc Montera Marseille, GRIM studio, 07/30/08. What a great day! Jean-Marc Montera did a recording session for hifiklub second album. He put some crazy guitar parts on four songs.

Live at MIDI festival ... special week, special night, special place & special band. Hifiklub played live at MIDI Festival (Villa Noailles, Hyères, French Riviera, 07/25/08) with Robert Aaron. James Chance joined the band on the last three songs. We had such a grrrrreat time !!!!
